About
Grace Academy Coop is a homeschooling cooperative specifically for high school students and their families. We are BRAND NEW and looking to form a group of several families who meet regularly at libraries, churches, community centers, or homes, and work together toward similar goals, which are socialization, education, activities, and/or any combination of these.
There are no dues but we do ask you sign a commitment to be involved and understanding that parents will be responsive for paying for items and events directly.
Mission
We plan to establish a group for teenage students and provide a high school season of friendship through our homeschool Greek Life Sorority and Fraternity. As well as opportunities to serve our community, be involved in various clubs, and develop leadership skills while having the full high school experience! GA plans to network in the community, and with parents, to partner with licensed teachers who left teaching but still like to teach, professors, degreed professionals, and skilled vocational persons who are all experts in certain fields and willing to lead or facilitate classes in the Middle Tennessee area. Supporting each other educationally & socially.
Vision
We see several families working together and helping each other through the homeschool high school experience. Students developing strong friendships that last a lifetime. Events for high schoolers, since most things in the area are targeted for younger kids. Graduations, Proms, Award Ceremonies, Social Meetups, Volunteering, Classes together or study groups. But also "Parent Nights Out" just for the Parent-Teachers. A place were both teens and their parents can find things to do and place to go!
